How Many Accessòries ya want?
How Many Accessòries ya want?

The 2024 onwards Moto Guzzi V85 line does not really require any accessories to be bought by the owner, but there are quite a few that can be had if you really feel the need.

The first one you will want to look at is GPS Navigation related.

You can buy the Piaggio MIA v3.0, part number 2S0025514 add on as well as the installation kit part number 607060M.

Do not have any Powersports store fit this thing as they will charge you $700 for the pleasure.

You will also need to download the app for your phone, sync it with the MIA v3.0 gizmo and put the phone in your pocket while you drive.

Your WAZE or GAIA app (or whatever app you use) is then displayed on your motorcycles TFT screen.

I have found this is not useful for safe riding and it is also very buggy, which further distracts you from riding safely.

I prefer the Hyperskid kit (if you can get one) or my own motorcycle phone clamp that has been modified to specifically fit your 2024 E5+ with protective dampening and double vibration dampening for $49.99 plus shipping.

Christos charges 85 Euro for his unit and manufacturing is when he feels like a run of the things. His kit is good though.

The Hyperskid item takes an age to get your hands on, and they do not ship to the USA since tariff wars became a thing.

If you want one and have family in the UK or EU then you need to organize they get it for you and ship it to you in the USA.

My GPS mount on the other hand is immensely pragmatic and takes 5 minutes to install and does not involve removing any screws from the wind shield like the Hyperskid one does.

My GPS mount will put your phone running Waze or GAIA directly in your line of sight.

I am also selling an affordable sound system for your Helmet that will link your phone to your Helmet so you can hear your phone-based GPS as well as see it.

My GPS Sound System for your helmet is $99.99 plus shipping and includes the helmet speakers you need to put inside your helmet padding yourself as well as the activation transmitter unit on the right or left, per rider preference.

No painful ear inserts involved for this to work!

I prefer keeping motorcycle Dash and GPS Nav on separate devices and it is far better to have a dedicated GPS like one of the Garmin units with a 7" screen.

This is because I have found any phone's Bluetooth as well as signals from GPS Satellites in space in certain areas make your phone-based GPS totally useless for some unknown reason.

This does not seem to happen to the dedicated GPS units.

Ideally, mount the Garmin as the primary and have your phone as the backup, except there is this app called GAIA that makes riding some undocumented trails a lot easier than with a dedicated GPS unit.

Again, pick your poison here that suits your needs.

The next thing to look at on an E5+ V85 TT or Adventure TT is the foot pegs.

So far, I am not having any issues with mine, but I did get used to broad footpegs on my KLR 650 Adventure and I tried all of the various ones I could get my hands on.

It is also dry here in California at the moment. I may change my mind about the stock unit footpegs when it rains.

2025-2027 V85 TT E5+ Gamma Zinken foot pegs sans rubber insert
2025-2027 V85 TT E5+ Gamma Zinken foot pegs sans rubber insert

There are a good few to choose from here but the Italian ones from Rizoma are pretty pricey ($331) but very nice if that's whut makes your boat float.

I preferred the SW Motech Ion stainless Steel rubber padded driver pegs for $165 plus shipping. These come with rubber inserts you can remove quick.

The Gamma Zinken footpegs are also on a par with these by the way only these do not have the rubber inserts.

I find wet rubber on stock standard sorts of footpegs when it rains is like black ice but there is no doubt for long hauls down Highway 5 on a V85 TT from Seattle to San Francisco for example, the rubber padding will definitely be a boon (if it is dry the whole way).

The Gamma Zinken units were selling for $139.99 from AF1 racing in Austin Texas.

I also found that the Woodstock folding extended toe piece, also available from AF1 racing is a handy mod for more precise foot control operation.

At $34.99 per unit it ain't gonna break the bank... You can have one for the gear lever and the foot brake if you want.

I found this a very good way to dial in your brake and gear operation while in boots.

If you ride with trainers, it can also be useful, but it will not work for boots and trainers. Pick your poison. Don't ride a motorcycle wearing trainers is my advice....

Next up, if you have a long torso like I do is a better wind shield protection.

I did not like the extra wind buffeting the bigger Puig unit presented as well as more ugly aesthetics, but it does work.

I prefer a laminar lip from KeniMoto and will add one at some point but I have also grown used to the standard screen at the highest setting of course.

The other thing to add is crash bars.

For this bike this is for the engine as well as the cardogan shaft drive unit behind you.

The Moto Guzzi Cardogan bars are the way to go for about 85 Euro from your dealer or from AF1 racing in Texas.

The crash bars themselves have a wide collection of FUGLY to choose from and I am not sure I like any of them myself.

The Moto Guzzi stock units go for $211 and your best bet here in the USA is AF1 racing online again.

AF1 racing shaft protector is currently selling for $72 plus shipping but it will take a month to get to you if they do not have one in stock.

I personally think the Givi engine guard kit GV-TN8203 is the best of the lot but prepare to wrestle them on with any of em.

You need your modify it to make it work hat and engineers DNA sequence for this to work well or find a sucker like me who will do it for you for a reasonable number of Benji's.

AF1 also sell a lot of stuff from MyTech so browse their very extensive catalogue online first.

If you do not like the stock skid plate Gamma Zinken make one also stocked by AF1 racing and them will run you $479.99 and require you to be mildly eccentric.

These come in silver or black and there is an extension plate for another $125 if you happen to be beyond the spectrum of mildly eccentric.

$700 for skid plate options is a tad insane IMHO.

You can also get protectors for the front headlights and some of these are pretty cool looking if drawing comments is your cup of tea.

OEM handguard replacements run a reasonable $90 for a pair and are pretty durable and well made in my opinion.

You can go for the Barkbuster frame for $155 but you also need to buy the Barkbuster plastic or just get the kit with the lot for $200 plus shipping. There are two Barkbuster kits the other runs $210 plus shipping and is the one you want.

Hepco and Becker make crashbars for these hand protectors by the way, add another $190 for that insanity if this is the way you want to vibrate with your peers (only fits standard (OEM) hand protectors.

I think those are fugly myself.

A must have for me is the SW Motech front Axle sliders for $83 plus shipping and these are handy at tire replacement time, but these will take 5 weeks to get to you from day of order and do not order pre-Christmas season..

The final thing I will cover is a riders seat gel cushion and you can get a Purple or a host of others to work.

I have had one made for the standard V85 TT seat that sells for $79.99 plus shipping and I weigh 223 lbs. on a good day and 228 lbs. on a bad one.

If you want my stuff email me and we can do PayPal or some such exchange of Dinieri ($).
